The New Apostolic Church in the city of Brandenburg was established in 1899; regular worship services started in 1901. In early years, the church used different buildings. A first permanent home was found in 1940 - in a former horse stable, no less. When that building became dilapidated, the church opted for the construction of a new building.
The cornerstone was laid in 2010, the building opened in 2011 and has been serving the community ever since.

The church is built in the shape of the sign of the fish with an elliptical building, in which the altar room in the south west is shaped like a dorsal fin and in an areal view from above, the tower looks like the fish's eye.
