This sculpture is located inside Orenco Woods Nature Park in Orenco, Oregon.
Artist Statement: "The Oregon Nursery Company (ORE-gon, N-ursery, CO-mpany) occupied these fields from 1896-1927. Plants were cultivated here to be shipped around the world. This sculpture invokes the signature "Orenco Apple" to tell a story of natural hybridization and human cultivation".
I have walked by here many times and the kids love to play on this sculpture.
