This was Town Hall for the former Township of Douro. It is now one of many relocated structures that form the layout for Lang Pioneer Village.

The total move was about 15 km, although there is no specific evidence that I could find for the exact location it was moved from. The single storey, single room structure acted as both the office for the Township Clerk and other staff, but also was home to Council meetings that the Reeve would preside over.
This building was chosen, in part, because it was active at the time in which Lang Pioneer Village is trying to establish a sense of, the 1890s.
