Pouce Coupe is in the South Peace Country Region of British Columbia. It has approximately 790 residents in this small rural community that was established in 1932. Pronounced: Pouce Coupee that translate to "thumb cut", named after a Beaver Indian called “Pooscapee.”
This is a very interesting community that has one of the best museums we have visited. It is in the old train depot and next to the post office. As you proceed up the hill to enter Pounce Coupe there are several large sculptures made from scrap metal.
The Pouce Coupe flag is accompanied by three other flags: Canada, British Columbia and the United States of America.
Pouce Coupe has changed their flag over the years. The small image at the top of the page is the old style flag.
