Auchenblae is a village in The Mearns, a large rural area in eastern Scotland between the North Sea coast and the eastern Grampian Mountains. A nine hole golf course on rolling parkland is situated in the midst of farming country to the east of the village.
Once nine holes in a tightly packed triangular piece of land, a packet of land to the south was acquired in 2002 and now houses the opening three holes with the remaining six now occupying the original land.
The course is short but tricky, with the opening hole being the longest at only a little over 300 yards. The remainder of the course consists of four short holes and four short par 4s to a par of 32 (64 for 18 holes) The par three 4th has two greens, with the one to the right with a yellow flag being played as the 13th hole on the 18 hole course.
A small pavilion acts as the clubhouse and fees are paid here on a pay as you play basis (no booking is required). The fees are £10 for nine holes and £15 for eighteen.
Auchenblae is around three miles to the north of the A90 road between the towns of Laurencekirk and Stonehaven, the golf course is signposted in the village.
