This omnivorous tree tells it like it is:
DANGER!
Growing at the otherwise unassuming corner of Torrey Road and Hidden Meadow Drive in Cumberland, Rhode Island, maybe it's a warning that you've arrived exactly at the 42nd parallel.
The yellow diamond-shaped road sign, when it used to be legible, showed three lines of text: BAD DANGER CURVE, with "Danger" in the middle. The very bottom of BAD is barely visible and CURVE is completely within the trunk now. The consumption is bearing strongly enough to bend the sign to curve outward.
I originally discovered this tree some time around 2014, well before embarking (pun intended!) on Waymarking. You can see my Instagram post of what it looked like here. A bit more of the word "BAD" was perceptible and the very top of the "R" and "V" in "CURVE" peeked from the maw then.
