The well preserved village of Glamis lies in the county of Angus in Scotland, and is famous for the nearby Glamis Castle, the seat of the Earl of Strathmore. Not far from the main gates of the castle at the junction of Dundee Road and Main Street, lies a large circular paved area with a sundial at its centre.

The sundial is atop a four foot high stone pedestal with an inscription around the top reading:

'GLAMIS GATEWAY 10 MARCH 1994'

It can be found on the right-hand side of the main route into the village from the south.

Sundial Type: Horizontal - Flat base, Ground or Pedestal mounted dial plate
