As we travel around and find ourselves hungry in a new town, we usually look for the nearest Mexican restaurant where we can feel pretty certain we'll get a great meal. Such was the case in Cordell. Restaurante Rio's is located on the main highway through town, in its own Mexican-styled building. The building has a covered walkway around the east and south sides, with large arched openings.
The menu contains just what you'd think, with main dishes with rice and beans costing $8.99. They also have some higher priced seafood and steak meals. We found the service excellent and the food scrumptuous. The restaurant is open Monday to Friday from 11am to 8pm.
