The sign details how the mangrove flats of the intertidal shallows at the river edge are important, especially if a forecast ocean rise occurs from climate change. A line diagram shows some the local mangroves, and another shows how the 'Nutrient Cycle of Mangrove Litter' aids the flora and fauna of the area. The Bar-Tailed Godwit is a migratory shorebird common to the Canada Bay area at the stage of the 11,000km journey from Alaska when they drop by. Dogs need to be on a leash when birds are here.
