(EN) "The rooster fountain is located in the hollow of a small valley. A spring that never dries up feeds two fountains. They in turn feed the three small ablution tanks.

Devotional fountain
On the pilgrimage route, pilgrims stopped here to practice devotions. To this end, granite side benches offered them rest for the body while prayers healed the mind.

Rooster fountain: A singular name
The fountain with the rooster refers to the gallinaceous man who oversaw an old wooden cross. That’s the reason for the name that doesn’t sound Christian. This fountain, which dates from the 16th century in its current form, was probably established in a sacred place for millennia. That’s why tradition gives it healing power. Believers came here to read their own destinies" (visit link)
