The broad Honour Roll for World War One is in the foyer of the current St Stephen's Uniting Church in the heart of Sydney, on Macquarie Street.
The four large white marble tablets were commissioned in 1921, so would have been in the earlier Presbyterian church in Macquarie Street, down the street - now built over.
As this current St Stephen's Presbyterian was built from 1935 to 1937, it would make sense that this was directly incorporated in the early design and right into the building. The white marble panels are set onto an ornate sandstone panel in the church vestibule, so they are poignantly on display on entry.
The 'War Memorial Register' entry points out that men from the Naval training ship - 'HMAS Tingira', that never saw service, are also listed. (

Each of the four white marble tablets has four columns of names, each of the columns having 30 - 40 names. Quite a contingent from the one Church!! [The names are listed at the above link.]
