Oro Valley is located on the north side of Tucson. The Oro Valley Public Library is at the southeast corner of Naranja and La Canada.
All ages are served at this library, with classes like photo and art exhibits, toddler storytime, scrabble, chess, AARP Tax Aid, and Family Storytime, just to name a few.

A beautiful sculpture of a "Reading Tree" is located next to the library.

An overflow lot is available for when the library gets really busy.

Oro Valley Public Library History
by PimaLib_AskALibrarian August 4, 2015

Oro Valley Public Library opened on August 17, 2002.

Before the library was even built, the Friends of the Oro Valley Public Library raised $100,000 for its construction. In 2013, the library transitioned from being an affiliate library of the Pima County Public Library to become a member of the 26-library system.

The library serves a mix of retired seniors and family-based population in Northwest Pima County, the Town of Oro Valley area, the retirement communities of Sun City Vistoso and Saddlebrooke, and the ranching and farming population of Catalina on the north side of the Catalina Mountains.

The Oro Valley Public Library partners with its sister branch, Dewhirst-Catalina Library, in servicing and conducting outreach to all of the Oro Valley/Catalina Pima County area. Programming priorities include children, families, and lifelong learners.
