"On September 28, 1911, one acre was bought for a cemetery and called Calvary Cemetery. There are no records from 1935 to 1949 because of a fire at a mission church in North Sedalia, and the records were burned. In 1949 the first known plot was drawn and in 1950 after the plat was finished the named ws changed.
