Typical in Roman Catholic Cemeteries is a standing crucifix overlooking the graves of those who now reside here.

"On September 28, 1911, one acre was bought for a cemetery and called Calvary Cemetery. There are no records from 1935 to 1949 because of a fire at a mission church in North Sedalia, and the records were burned. In 1949 the first known plot was drawn and in 1950 after the plat was finished the named ws changed. It is now known as St. Joseph's Cemetery of Clifton City, Inc.It was first part of the Dariny parish in Sedalia." ~ Cooper MoGenWeb
