Marker Text: The Railroad was built in Russellville in 1881. This Ice House was built by Railroad in 1883.
Known Owners since 1936 were: Charlie Stevens, Lem Jasper, Hugh Robertson, Francis & Pauline Harding, Halcy & Ruby Amos
The Ice House was used by latest owners as "Amos Cafe" until 1961.
Carl Melton had the Ice House in Eldon, MO., from 1961 until he donated it back to the City of Russellville in 2003. The ice House was restored in Memory of Halcy & Ruby Amos.
