The Coldstone Creamery chain is known for smashing candy and toppings into their hard ice cream on a frozen marble slab. They have an unbelievable number of both dry toppings (mix-ins) and also fruit, hot fudge, caramel, etc. You pay per mix-in so it can get expensive if you load up on mix-ins. They also have good combos that you can choose from if you don't want to take chances making up your own flavor.
One of their specialties is cake batter ice cream and chocolate cake batter ice cream. My favorite mix is cake batter ice cream with raspberries and white chocolate chips mixed in. My son created a very unique flavor that he calls "Prop Wash Special" (if you live in a boating area you'll get it) It's mint ice cream with swedish fish. Add some oreo cookies if you are trying to replicate really polluted prop wash. :) Let me know what you think.
Enjoy.
