Bülow's spring (Bülowuv pramen), located in the inner courtyard of the Chateau Podebrady, was found and designated by the dowser Baron Karl von Bülow in November 1904. The artesian well was then drilled at a depth of 95.7 m. On the wall above the spring you can find a bronze memorial tablet of Baron Bülow.

Bülow's spring is the fist known source of the Podebradka mineral water. Podebradka is an alkaline-earth acidulous water, in which a large amount of carbon dioxide is found and belongs to the group of bicarbonate-chloride sodium-calcium waters, which contain a large amount of alkali. After proving the therapeutic effects of Podebradka by the Bohumil Boucek MD, Podebrady Spa was established. Spa has been running uninterrupted since 1908 and is mainly used to treat cardiovascular diseases in the form of baths. Tasty mineral water was also bottled from the beginning.
Due to geological conditions, Podebradka has to be obtained from a depth of approximately 100 m, so between 1905-2013, a total of 27 artesian wells were drilled in Podebrady.
