Dit politiebureau zal binnenkort haar deuren sluiten. Uit bezuinigingsoverwegingen werd al in het jaar 2014 besloten om het pand te sluiten en het bestaande kantoor in buurtgemeente Hellevoetsluis ingrijpend te verbouwen. Het huidige bestuurscollege heeft geprobeerd deze ontwikkeling ongedaan te maken of zo lang mogelijk te rekken. Nu, bijna zes jaar later, is duidelijk geworden dat het einde van het bureau wel degelijk in zicht is.

This police station will close its doors soon. For austerity reasons, it was already decided in 2014 to close the building and to drastically renovate the existing office in Hellevoetsluis. The current municipal college has tried to reverse this development or to stretch it as long as possible. Now, almost six years later, it has become clear that the end of the agency is in sight.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
