This is a new Denny's restaurant, built on a lot adjacent to the old location. Locals were puzzled when they began building the new one. We figured it was to prevent having to close during construction. But the old one closed, and the new one didn't open for over a year after the closure, so we were without a Denny's in the neighborhood for quite awhile! The old Denny's building is going to be a new restaurant, and is still under construction.
The new Denny's finally opened in 2018 with much of the same staff as before; it's nice to go in and see familiar faces!
This is just off the I-80 freeway, halfway between San Francisco and Sacramento; a good place to take a break and enjoy a quick meal. There are several fast food places nearby too, if that is your preference!
