This McDonald's restaurant, the first in Yukon, is on the north side of Main Street a few blocks east of the iconic flour mills.

This McDonald's restaurant was the first to appear in Yukon, dating back to the late 1970s when Yukon was a sleepy little bedroom community. The access from Highway 66 crossed a steep drainage ditch and it was not unusual to see cars hung up there! That has long since been amended, and the old McDonald's was replaced by a more modern building some years ago. You'll find it on the north side of the highway, a few blocks east of Yukon's iconic flour mills.
