There are no signs to indicate whether or not this is an "official" Little Free Pantry, but its purpose is obvious. Made of wood and mounted on a wood frame, it is painted dark red, with white doors, and has shelves on each side, separating the pantry into six compartments if there was any intent on organization. As of this posting, the pantry wasn't full up, but was mostly stocked with canned goods and some dry products.
The Ravia Church of God is a member of the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee), a Christian Pentecostal denomination. While they don't really have their own site -- there are plenty of web-spidered listings -- they can be found through the church locator at the Church of God website. This particular denomination has its roots in Tennessee, led in 1886 by R.G. Spurling, who with his fellow members were intent upon focusing upon the New Testament and breaking away from creeds held by the Baptists and other established churches. There was definitely a spirit of the Reformation in mind. Known by variants of the name "Christian Union", they experienced a rocky start, encountering intolerance and persecution, and they actually fractured and went back to their original church at one point. The pieces were forged back together in 1902, creating the "Holiness Church at Camp Creek", and after some growth and fresh leadership, they became the "Church of God" in 1907. This congregation is one of 36,000 worldwide, with an estimated membership of seven million.
