Raf Mailleux (Ciney, 28 maart 1916 - Genk, 23 februari 1996), was een Belgisch beeldhouwer en medailleur. Na zijn humaniorastudies te Gentinnes en Namen, studeert hij in Doornik aan het Sint-Lucasinstituut en de Academie.

Mailleux werd geboren in Ciney maar week tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog uit naar Winterslag (Genk). In de jaren na de oorlog bestond zijn werk voornamelijk uit restauraties van oorlogsschade. Zijn werk was vooral religieus geïnspireerd. De Genkse mijnkathedralen en de centrumkerk maar ook vele andere kerken in de omgeving zijn in het bezit van sculpturen of beeldhouwwerken van Mailleux, onder andere in de Sint-Martinuskerk van Genk, Sint-Barbarakerk van Eisden, Sint-Joriskerk in Alken, Virga-Jessekerk te Hasselt, Kruisherenkerk in Hasselt, O.L.-Vrouwkerk te Bièrges en de kerken van Sledderlo (Genk), Termien (Genk), Termolen (Zonhoven) en Hoevenzavel (Genk).

Hij is onder andere de ontwerper-graveur van het Belgische muntstuk van 25 centiem (geslagen van 1964 tot 1975 en in omloop tot in 1980) en het Congolo Memorial te Gentinnes, waarvoor hij samenwerkte met architect C. Jeandrain en glazenier G. Dehais. Voor de stad Genk ontwierp hij het wapenschild in 1950, een ontwerp dat officieel bekrachtigd werd bij K.B. van 3 januari 1951. Als medailleur ontwierp hij onder andere de herdenkingspenning van de eerste elektrificatie van de lijn Brussel-Parijs (1963).

Andere werken van hem zijn onder andere het Leopold II - monument op het Kolonel Dusartplein te Hasselt, ter nagedachtenis van de gevallen landgenoten in Belgisch Congo (1952), het witmarmeren beeld van Koning Astrid in de rozentuin van het Openluchtmuseum Bokrijk (1957), het Lod. Lavki-monument in het Hasseltse stadspark (1979) en "De mijnwerker" op het kerkplein in Winterslag (1990). Op het kerkhof van Genk-centrum staat een monumentale sculptuur van zijn hand, getiteld 'Indachtig', gemaakt in 1964. Ook het monument Het heidekruisje van Boxbergheide (1970) is van zijn hand.

Raf Mailleux (Ciney, March 28, 1916 - Genk, February 23, 1996), was a Belgian sculptor and medalist. After his humanities studies in Gentinnes and Namur, he studies in Tournai at the Sint-Lucas Institute and the Academy.

Mailleux was born in Ciney but moved to Winterslag (Genk) during the Second World War. In the years after the war, his work mainly consisted of restorations from war damage. His work was mainly religiously inspired. The Genk mining cathedrals and the center church but also many other churches in the area are in possession of sculptures or sculptures by Mailleux, including in the Saint Martin church of Genk, Saint Barbara church of Eisden, Saint George church in Alken, Virga-Jessekerk in Hasselt, Kruisherenkerk in Hasselt, OL-Vrouwkerk in Bièrges and the churches of Sledderlo (Genk), Termien (Genk), Termolen (Zonhoven) and Hoevenzavel (Genk).

He is, among others, the designer-engraver of the Belgian 25 centime coin (minted from 1964 to 1975 and in circulation until 1980) and the Congolo Memorial in Gentinnes, for which he collaborated with architect C. Jeandrain and glazier G. Dehais. He designed the coat of arms for the city of Genk in 1950, a design that was officially ratified by the Royal Decree of January 3, 1951. As a medalist he designed, among other things, the commemorative medal of the first electrification of the Brussels-Paris line (1963).

Other works by him include the Leopold II monument on the Kolonel Dusartplein in Hasselt, in memory of the fallen compatriots in Belgian Congo (1952), the white marble statue of King Astrid in the rose garden of the Open Air Museum Bokrijk (1957), the Lod. Lavki monument in the Hasselt city park (1979) and "The miner" on the church square in Winterslag (1990). In the cemetery of Genk center is a monumental sculpture by his hand, entitled 'Indachtig', made in 1964. The monument The Heather Cross of Boxbergheide (1970) is also by his hand
