This plaque was erected by Commercial Properties Limited to commemorate the 225th anniversary of the City of Saint John, New Brunswick. It also recognizes the arrival of the first of over 10,000 Loyalists refugees from the American States in 1783.

Inscription on the plaque:
This clock commemorates the 225th Anniversary of the
Incorporation of the City of Saint John on May 18th, 1785
as Canada's first incorporated City.
It also recognizes May 18th, celebrated in Saint John
as Loyalist Day, for the arrival of the first of over 10,000 Loyalists
refugees from the newly-independent American states in 1783.
This clock was officially presented
to the City of Saint. John on May 13,2010
by Commercial Properties Limited
