The Trig area is accessed via an unnamed track which leaves Old Mill Road approx 2.5 Km from the intersection with Guyra Road at Tingha NSW.
The track condition is good initially and it winds in and out of the State Forest area. The State Forest Pine Plantation was destroyed by a Bushfire early 2019. It also burnt several homes in Tingha. When the track enters the Tingha Plateau State Conservation Area, the condition deteriorates to 4WD only. The track follows the foot of Mount Topper and it is not on the map. It joins the Trig access track - which is on the map. This bit requires low range 4WD due to the rocky and washed out condition. The Trig is located on a concrete pedestal which is situated on a rocky outcrop. It is in good condition.If you visit the area, the Red Rose Cafe in Tingha serves great Fish and Chips :-) (no affiliation)
