Devil's Backbone is the name given to a narrow trail in Wintergreen Gorge with steep drop-offs on two sides. The location is a popular spot for hiking due its scenic views. To get to Devil's Backbone, you could hike either the approximately 1 mile hike from the Cooper Road parking lot, where there is a sign showing a map with Devil's Backbone labeled, or you could park at the Prischak Parking Lot and hike approximately one half mile to the location. On clear days, from Devil's Backbone, you can see out over Lake Erie to the north. To the south is a nice view of the tree covered Wintergreen Gorge. If you visit, please be careful!
