To reach the Oliver Point repeater, you have a choice of crossing private ranch land coming from the west, or crossing Tribal property coming from the northeast. The repeater is on the Flathead Indian Reservation, and unless you are working on the site, you are required to have a Tribal Recreation Permit issued by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes. While the peak is not very high (4,770 feet above sea level), the view from the repeater site takes in the Hot Springs Valley, the Mission Valley, the Mission Mountains, Flathead Lake and the Flathead River.

Hard to reach unless you know the area, the view makes the trip well worth-while.
