As part of renovations at the Stanley Tubbs Memorial Library, city crews removed several sweet gum trees from around the library. They left behind a 6-foot stump in front of the library that served as the medium for this fine wooden carving. Local artist Clayton Coss created this chainsaw sculpture of a little girl reading while seated on a stack of books to grace the entrance to the library. You can read more about this artwork here and here.
