This Spring House is part of the historic Lyons Store circa 1830 in Surgoinsville, Tennessee. It's a two story and made from limestone blocks with a tin roof and it has bars in the windows to keep out store robbers as they were called.
The spring itself is a 5th magnitude (10 to 100 gal/min) fracture type spring.
There is little to none internet information on this historic store that is listed as a Hawkins County landmark. I spoke with one of the Lyons family members when I obtained permission to photograph the store, spring house, and a carriage mounting block on this property.
