In 1975 opende kinderboerderij Klaverweide aan de 's Gravenweg in Capelle aan den IJssel haar deuren voor het publiek. Het was toen nog een gemeentelijke boerderij. In 1988 werd de kinderboerderij geprivatiseerd tot een stichting. De kinderboerderij is gevestigd in een oude monumentale boerderij uit 1650 met een bijzonder mooi rietgedekt voorhuis.
Er zijn veel soorten dieren, zoals geiten, koeien, schapen, pony's, varkens, chinchilla's, ratten, cavia's en konijnen. Ook loopt er een kat en kippen rond op de boerderij.
Op het terrein bevindt zich ook het Centrum voor Natuur en Milieu educatie (CNME de Hooiberg), waar educatieve lessen worden gegeven aan kinderen van de Capelse basisscholen over natuur en milieu.

In 1975 Klaverweide children's farm on the 's Gravenweg in Capelle aan den IJssel opened its doors to the public. It was then still a municipal farm. In 1988 the petting zoo was privatized into a foundation. The petting zoo is located in an old monumental farm from 1650 with a particularly beautiful thatched front house.
There are many types of animals, such as goats, cows, sheep, ponies, pigs, chinchillas, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits. There is also a cat and chickens around the farm.
On the site is also the Center for Nature and Environmental Education, where educational lessons are given to children of the local primary schools about nature and the environment.
