Circa 1900 it is a 2 tier fountain of polished shaps granite. With shallow bowls on a central
stem, set in a former ornamental pool of intersected quatrefoil shape, now filled
with soil and planted.
The fountain was originally situated at Stanwick Hall ,then the home of the Duke of Northumberland, and was presented to what was then the village of Cockerton on August 1st 1924.
