Beckley Mill

Alfred Beckley built a mill along Piney Creek (1838~1840) to spur economic growth on his wilderness landholdings. Union Commander and future U.S. President Rutherford B. Hayes visited site in 1862. It was destroyed in the 1878 flood and rebuilt by owner Asa Spangler. Taz Worley owned mill prior to closure in early 1900s. The site was added to the National Register in 2017.
