On the opposite sidewalk is the Pazo de la Deputación (1912), the work of Vázquez Gulías, commissioned by the institution itself, after acquiring this old spinning mill in 1895. To adapt it to its public function Gulías adds, besides the provincial shield, a spectacular balcony in its central body.
