The bridge was built in 1984. It is a single span Stringer truss footbridge 28 feet long spanning a wet weather stream. It is located in Reston, Virginia at Northgate Condominium on Northgate Square. The bridge is the shortest covered footbridge in Virginia. The west abutment is poured concrete footing and the east abutment is mortared cement blocks. The bridge is covered with dull brown painted facsimile tongue and groove paneling on the sides and portals. The bridge has a large square window opening on the downstream side and a small square window opening centered in a large vertical box inset for seating, is at midpoint on the upstream side. The deck consists of crosswise planks and asphalt shingles covers the roof.
