"In 1996 the city council of Ourense signed an agreement with a group of sculptors by which the council committed to allocating a budget to endow the city with sculptures. This initiative was intended to support the sculpture and in this case, in addition, to beautify a recently built park on the left bank of the Miño in this attempt to recover the city's relationship with the river, to which it had been turning its back for a long time.
The artists who placed their work in the park, a total of seven, were of diverse styles but had in common the orensanismo and a defined trajectory. The figurative and feminine themes predominate in the set, as well as, bronze is the most used material.
Conde is a sculptor with a very personal theme that he captures in this work but softening the formal codes that characterize him, thus the adiposities are lightened, sex is defined and movement is insinuated with the figure's walking attitude."
