A pair of Barre granite sphinx statues are placed at the entrance to the Amasa B. Watson Mausoleum. Each sphinx has a human head in long Egyptian headdress and the body of a lion. There are no visible bird wings on either sphinx. The mausoleum is located in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The sphinxes are the only ones of their kind in Michigan according to The Rapidian.
