The station do rescue operations with its lifeboat Sealegs SNS 664 Le Mascaret in the bay. The bay of Mont-Siant-Michel is known for one of the greatest tide differences in the world and often wanderers was trapped by the raising water.
It is integrated in the old remparts of the island fortress.
