In de Oranjepolder bij Hoek van Holland is een paaiplaats voor snoeken ingericht. Van februari tot juni wordt een weiland onder water gezet. De volwassen snoeken kunnen via de vistrap vanuit het Oranjekanaal de paaiplaats bereiken. In mei-juni kunnen de kleine visjes via de vistrap weer terug naar het Oranjekanaal.

A spawning area for pike has been set up in the Oranjepolder near Hoek van Holland. From February to June, a pasture is flooded. The adult pike can reach the spawning area via the fish ladder from the Oranjekanaal. In May-June, the small fish can return to the Oranjekanaal via the fish ladder.
