The Orense-San Francisco station is a Spanish railway station located in the San Francisco neighborhood in the city of Orense in Galicia. It is the second station in the city after the Orense-Empalme station.

Although of great importance in the past, the station has been losing weight until it has become a stop for Media Distancia trains that carry out regional services.

The station is located at kilometer 246.2 of the conventional gauge railway that connects Zamora with A Coruña at an altitude of 161 meters. The section is single track and is not electrified.

The desire to unite Madrid, via Medina del Campo with Vigo by the shortest possible route is ancient and appeared reflected in some preliminary projects such as the one of 1864. However, he himself ruled out this possibility, considering that it involved "enormous difficulties" that even exceeded "those of the descent from the port of Pajares on the Asturias railway". is therefore the station not opened until 1 of July of 1957 with the start of the section Orense - Sanabria on the Zamora-Corunna line. Its initial exploitation was in charge of RENFE whose birth had taken place in 1941.

Since December 31, 2004, Renfe Operadora has operated the line while Adif is the owner of the railway facilities.

The granite passenger building is rectangular in shape and has two floors. For its decoration, pinnacles and a pediment inspired by the Galician Baroque have been used, which gives the building a structure of an urban pazo . Like many stations on the section, it has a gallery on the ground floor made up of various arches. The side gardens had two sculptures, a sharpener and an umbrella stand made by Faílde, which were later moved.

Currently it only has one side platform and one track. Another platform, formerly central, is completely disused, in fact it does not even have the tracks that accessed it.
