DE: Das Karlsbad in Brühl ist ein kombiniertes Hallen- und Freibad an der Kurfürstenstraße. Im Innenbereich existiert ein Sportbecken mit fünf 25m-Bahnen inklusive Startblock, je einem Sprungbrett in einem Meter und drei Metern Höhe. Im Sprungbereich beträgt die Wassertiefe 3,8 Meter, am gegenüberliegenden Ende nur 1,6m. In einem zweiten, kleineren Lehrbecken ein paar Meter weiter finden Schwimmunterricht und Kurse (wie Wassergymnastik, Aqua-Jogging und Aqua-Cycling) statt.
Des Weiteren gibt es noch ein Spaßbecken mit Sprudelliegen und Übergang in einen Strömungskanal. Im Spaßbecken sind auch ein Wasserspeier und Sprudeldüsen für eine Wassermassage untergebracht. Zusätzlichen Spaß verspricht eine Wasserrutsche, für die Kleinsten gibt es auch ein Eltern-Kind-Becken mit erhöhter Wassertemperatur und einer Wassertiefe von 30cm.
Im näheren Bereich des Spaßbeckens ist auch ein gastronomischer Bereich untergeracht, in dem Snacks, Getränke und kleinere Mahlzeiten erworben werden können.
Während das Hallenbad ganzjährig geöffnet ist, wird das Freibad mit seinem 50-Meter-Sportbecken und einem Nichtschwimmerbecken nur zu den Sommermonaten (vom Wetter abhängig, meist ab Mitte Mai bis Mitte September) geöffnet. An einem fest montiertem Gasgrill kann gegen entsprechende Gebühr das mitgebrachte Grillgut zubereitet werden.
Der Saunabereich ist vom Schwimmbadbetrieb abgetrennt und beherbergt drei verschiedene Saunatypen und ein Dampfbad. Aufgüsse und Massagen runden den Besuch ab, zum Ausruhen kann man sich in das Kaminzimmer zurückziehen.
Der Eintritt im Hallenbad beträgt morgens zum Frühschwimmen 4 Euro, am Nachmittag dann 5 Euro. Der Preis ist für einen Aufenthalt von zwei Stunden ausgelegt, wer länger bleibt, muss für jede angefangene Stunde 2 Euro nachzahlen. Fürs Freibad werden die Preise für ein Tagesticket zu Saisonanfang festgelegt. Für einen vierstündigen Saunabesuch bezahlt man 16,50 Euro und je angefangener weiterer Stunde 4 Euro.

EN: The Karlsbad in Brühl is a combined indoor and outdoor pool on Kurfürstenstraße. Inside there is a sports pool with five 25m lanes including a starting block, a springboard each one meter and three meters high. In the jumping area the water depth is 3.8 meters, at the opposite end only 1.6 m. Swimming lessons and courses (such as water aerobics, aqua jogging and aqua cycling) take place in a second, smaller teaching pool a few meters away.
There is also a fun pool with bubble loungers and a transition to a flow channel. The fun pool also houses a gargoyle and bubble jets for a water massage. A water slide promises additional fun, for the little ones there is also a parent-child pool with a higher water temperature and a water depth of 30cm.
In the closer area of the fun pool, there is also a gastronomic area where snacks, drinks and small meals can be purchased.
While the indoor pool is open all year round, the outdoor pool with its 50-meter sports pool and a non-swimmer pool is only open during the summer months (depending on the weather, mostly from mid-May to mid-September). For a fee, you can use a permanently installed gas grill to prepare your grilled food.
The sauna area is separated from the swimming pool and houses three different types of sauna and a steam bath. Infusions and massages round off the visit, and you can relax in the fireplace room.
Admission to the indoor pool is 4 euros for early swimming in the morning and 5 euros in the afternoon. The price is designed for a stay of two hours, whoever stays longer has to pay 2 euros for each started hour. For the outdoor pool, the prices for a day ticket are set at the beginning of the season. For a four-hour sauna visit you pay 16.50 euros and each additional hour started 4 euros.
