This memorial is located on the east-facing exterior wall of the McKinley American Legion Post in the McKinley Park neighborhood of Chicago. The plaque reads "Our hero war dead/World War II" followed by a list of names. After the names it reads, "and our dead of all other wars/Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them....Archer LEavitt Honor Roll."
Next to the memorial there is a mural of soldiers in action.
The memorial is easily seen from the public sidewalk.
