The Arctic Circle Monument, inaugurated on October 3rd, 2013, is located directly at Riksvägen 99 in Juoksengi, also known as "Polcirkelbyn", which translates as "Arctic Circle Village", in Övertoneå County (Norrbottens Län, Sweden).
The flags of the eight countries that also touch the Arctic Circle stand around a stylized globe. These countries are from west to east: Iceland (with the island of Grímsey), Greenland, Canada, the United States of America (with the state of Alaska), the Russian Federation, Finland, Sweden and Norway.
