"Die Evangelische Kirche in Berschweiler ist die Nachfolgerin der St. Nopri-Kapelle in Fohren.Die Grundsteinlegung erfolgte am 20.5.1743 durch Kirchenschaffner Friedrich Hartmann Koch, Cusel und Pfarrer Müller, Baumholder. Anfang 1745 war die Kirche vollendet. Berschweiler gehörte damals zur Pfarrei Baumholder. Durch Entscheid der herzoglichen Regierung in Zweibrücken vom 19.8.1756 wird Berschweiler selbständige Pfarrei der noch Fohren, Linden, Mettweiler, Eckersweiler, Langenbach, Heimbach, Rohrbach und Rückweiler angehörten. Später kamen Freisen, Hahnweiler und Leitzweiler dazu.

Die Portal-, Kanzel- und Altaranordnung von heute entspricht nicht der ursprünglichen Form. 250-Jahr-Feier der Kirche war am 28./29.08.1993."

"The Protestant Church in Berschweiler is the successor of the St. Nopri Chapel in Fohren.The laying of the foundation stone took place on 20.5.1743 by church-creator Friedrich Hartmann Koch, Cusel and pastor Müller, Baumholder. The church was completed at the beginning of 1745. At that time Berschweiler belonged to the parish of Baumholder. By decision of the ducal government in Zweibrücken of August 19, 1756, Berschweiler became an independent parish to which Fohren, Linden, Mettweiler, Eckersweiler, Langenbach, Heimbach, Rohrbach and Rückweiler belonged. Later Freisen, Hahnweiler and Leitzweiler were added.
