DE: Zur Bundesgartenschau 1957 im Kölner Rheinpark wurden von den Gartenbauarchitekten Günther Schulze und Joachim Winkler 14 Wasserbecken ausgehend vom "Gesundbrunnen", der sein Eisen- und Kochsalzhaltiges Wasser aus 270m Tiefe bezog, angelegt. Von einer geordneten Struktur ausgehend werden die vom Gesundbrunnen weiter entfernten in unregelmäßigere Formen gepackt. Zur Gartenschau 1971 brachte man zusätzlich einen Laubengang an, dessen Dach dann 2004 entfernt und durch eine Pergola ersetzt wurde.
2007 wurden zum fünfzigsten Jubiläum der Bundesgartenschau Metallrahmen aufgestellt, die einen vergleichenden Blick zwischen heute und dem Zeitpunkt der Gartenschauen 1957 und 1971 ermöglichen.

EN: For the 1957 Federal Garden Show in the Cologne's Rhinepark, the horticultural architects Günther Schulze and Joachim Winkler created 14 water basins starting from the "Gesundbrunnen" (health fountain), which drew its iron and salt-containing water from a depth of 270 m. Starting from an orderly structure, those further away from the Gesundbrunnen are packed into more irregular shapes. For the 1971 garden show, an additional portico was added, the roof of which was then removed in 2004 and replaced by a pergola.
In 2007, for the fiftieth anniversary of the Federal Garden Show, metal frames were set up, which enable a comparative view between today and the time of the garden shows in 1957 and 1971.
