This fine Foucault Pendulum on display at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at The University of Oklahoma. The pendulum is housed in a recent addition to venerable old Nielson Hall, which has housed the Department since 1948. The pendulum was constructed by the Physics Department shop. This waymarker is pleased to say that he earned his doctorate in nuclear physics here in the 1980s, long before the new building was constructed. This is an academic building, so it is best to check in at the office before visiting the pendulum. It can also be viewed from outside the pendulum tower.
