The local tourist board wants you to know you can;
Experience the Red River in downtown Fargo/Moorhead firsthand! Paddle the Red River without transporting your own vessel. Rentals run Tuesdays 6-8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 1-6 p.m. $10/hour per vessel.
Single and tandem kayaks and canoes are available on a first-come first-serve basis. Rental fee includes paddles and personal flotation devices which must be worn at all times. To rent 5 or more vessels, call 218-299-5296 at least seven business days in advance. Schedule is dependent on staff availability.
Reservations are not available during regular rental hours. Minimum of two hours or a $100 minimum rental fee. Additional information on moorheadparks.com.
The Rental Shack is located under the 1st Ave. North bridge on the grounds of the Heritage Hjemkomst Interpretive Center, 202 1st Ave N, Moorhead, MN.
