[FIN] Halistenkosken pato ja vesilaitos on rakennettu 1923, vesilaitos on edelleen toiminnassa. Kalaportaat valmistuivat 1995 padon kupeeseen. Ideana oli lohikalojen ja muidenkin kalalajien auttaminen kutemaannousussa. Rakennelma on korkeudeltaan noin seitsemänmetrinen ja siinä on 22 allasta. Näistä kudulla olevat kalat pääsevät etenemään ylimpään altaaseen, josta ne nostetaan haavilla Aurajoen yläjuoksulle. Samalla pystytään tekemään seurantaa kalakannoista. Kutunsa aloittaa kirjolohi keväällä, syyspuolella on lohen ja taimenen nousuaika. Vaikka Aurajoki on savisamea, vesi on hyvälaatuista. Kalastajat nostavat koskelta kelpo saaliita: seitsenkiloisista taimenista reilusti yli kymmenkiloisiin lohiin.
Kalaportaiden ongelmana on ollut että ne eivät pääse vapaasti portaiden loppuun asti, vaan ne siirretään haavilla eteenpäin. Tämä haavi on itseasiassa metallikehikkoinen hissi. Tarkoituksena on uusia kalaportaiden tämä osuus lähiaikoina.

[EN] The Halistenkoski dam and waterworks were built in 1923, the waterworks is still in operation. The fish ladder was completed in 1995 next to the dam. The idea was to help salmonids and other fish species spawn. The structure is about seven meters high and has 22 pools. Of these, spawning fish can advance to the upper basin, from where they are raised with net to the upper reaches of the Aura River. At the same time, it is possible to monitor fish stocks. Rainbow salmon begin their spawning in the spring, with salmon and trout rising in the autumn. Although the Aura River is clayey, the water is of good quality. Fishermen raise good catches from the rapids: from seven-kilos trout to well over ten-kilos salmon.
The problem with fish ladders has been that they do not have free access to the end of the stairs, but are moved forward with net. This net is actually a metal-framed elevator. There are plans for new fish ladders in this section in the near future.
