Located on top of the third highest peak in the Eastern Cape outside the Drakensberg we were surprised to find this beacon has a clone.

We were surprised to find the clone and can only assume as follows - at some point the original was replaced and the old remnants left nearby. Possibly some locals decided to build another beacon on a slightly more prominent spot using these remnants albeit only 50 metres away.

Ideally, you should try to take photos at the actual beacon location, but if that isn't possible (private property, terrain, etc), then photos taken from a distance are also welcome, especially if the beacon is visible in the photo.
