The American Civil War ended in March 1865 when cavalry led by Union General Philip H. Sheridan were instrumental in forcing Confederate General Robert E. Lee to surrender at Appomattox Courthouse. These two adversaries meet again in northwest Oklahoma City. The intersection is decorated with a large white star. Venues of interest here include The Paramount, a restored theater on Film Row that also hosts a wine bar.
