Rome, Italy has been a major settlement for three millennia. Her history goes so far back that the founding of the city itself is the stuff of myth and legend. As the heart of the Roman Empire, she ruled the world for a thousand years. Today the population is nearly three million.
Rome, Kansas is not much more than a wide spot in the road. A grain elevator by the railroad tracks is the primary commercial enterprise here. The town has no Post Office and is so small that the Wikepedia article does not even list a population. The waymark coordinates are the intersection of Rome Road and E 90th Street, by the elevators.
