The Anne Beadell Highway was built in the early 1950s to aid British Nuclear Tests at Emu.
The highway with is a rough track traverses the Woomera Prohibited Area, Tallaringa Conservation Park, Maralinga-Tjarutja Aboriginal Lands, and an unnamed conservation Park in South Australia and other aboriginal Lands in WA. Permits are required to travel through all the areas listed above.
Plenty of red sand, flies, camels and corrugations.
