The church has an active presence on Facebook (see below), but there's really nothing in terms of history. There are also plenty of hits from the various web-spidered church listings. The "cornerstone" near the front entrance notes that the sanctuary was constructed in 1950, so the congregation has existed for at least that long, but given that Loraine was established in the 1880s, they're much likely older. As of this posting, the United Methodist Church's
church finder notes that they have forty four members in their congregation. The bluebonnets out front are eye-catching in this small West Texas town.
